Press Match new date. The match will now be played on TUESDAY 1ST JUNE
The Press GS have managed to found themselves with a Fixture List problem. They have had to alter the original date for our match that they organised for Monday 7th June. The date has therefore been changed to TUESDAY 1ST JUNE at the same venue Royal Mid Surrey. If anyone wishes to have their name added to the list of those wishing to play please let the Secretary know by email or telephone Willie Munday direct. 16/02/2010
USING THE WEBSITE How do I get in? What will I find in the Members Section?
You enter the site by using your own email address as your USER NAME and, once registered, you add a PASSWORD of your choice (if you press the correct prompt on your computer it will always remember your password). In order to make the first entry you should contact the Society Secretary who will issue you with a temporary password that you will be requested to change in the "Your Profile" section BEFORE PRESSING THE 'CONTINUE' BUTTON.
If you wish to PROPOSE A NEW MEMBER please download an APPLICATION FORM and STANDING ORDER AUTHORITY by pressing the Adobe icons on the “Home Page”. The candidate should complete both these and ask for your endorsement on his Application. A SECONDER should be found if possible, but if that proves difficult you should contact the Secretary or a Member of the Committee. Both Forms should be forwarded to the Secretary with an appropriate cheque to cover the current years subscription plus £20.00 for the obligatory Society tie.
IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT SOCIETY RECORDS ARE KEPT UP TO DATE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO CHANGE YOUR PERSONAL DATA if you move house; change your email address; change any of your telephone numbers; change your handicap or move Golf Clubs in "Your Profile". ANY CHANGES YOU MAKE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE TRANSMITTED TO THE SECRETARY.
WHAT IS IN THE MEMBERS SECTION?
1. THE MEMBERS LIST with addresses, telephone numbers, handicaps and golf clubs in addition to an interactive button to click to gain direct Email access via the ‘envelope icon’ to a selected individual.
2. An ability to DO A SEARCH by:- Surname, County, Postcode, Golf Clubs and Handicaps (either exact or ‘more than’ or ‘less than’ a stated figure).
3. You may DOWNLOAD A MAJOR MEETING ENTRY FORM with a double click on an ‘A icon’.
4. FIXTURES AND MATCH MANAGERS (you can gain direct Email access to the Match Manager with a double click ‘envelope icon’ by his name). In some cases the SELECTED TEAM is published (double click the ‘A icon’) in advance of a Match if the Match Manager has informed the Secretary.
5. MATCH REPORTS (double click the ‘A icon’ beside an individual fixture) and RESULTS (double click the ‘Adobe icon’).
6. Instant access is possible (with a double click of the ‘globe icon’) to the GOLF CLUB WEBSITE where an event is to take place.
7. Please note that IF A FIXTURE AND DATE APPEAR IN RED it intimates it is a provisional date or one fixed for the following year.
8. On the Home Page there will be various items of NEWS PUBLISHED from time to time. If any Member wishes to make anything known to the Membership they should send the Secretary ‘copy’ and it will be posted on the site immediately.
